There are only 8 of these exclusive European tanning units in the United States - 6 of them are in Los Angeles at Uvasun. The tanning experience is relaxing, cool and comfortable, as the tanner lies on a mattress and tans from an overhead light source. This unit is very open feeling and non-confining - those with a little claustrophobia will embrace the design!

The experience generally lasts 30 minutes (15 minutes on front and back), and emits UVA light to darken the melanin present in the skin with it's powerful lamp system. While tanning, the rooms are equipped with telephones, an intercom system to the front desk, and a digital sound system. The mattresses are motorized and can be adjusted at the touch of a button for incline comfort at the head and leg area. Sessions range in length from 20 to 50 minutes, as the range of light produced by this bed is gentle, yet very effective and contains no UVB.
